Embedded Firmware & Industrial IoT [From Prototype to Production]
I’m an electronic engineer and software developer with a focus on embedded systems, industrial IoT, and smart sensor platforms. I design and build real-time C/C++ firmware on STM32, ESP32, and Nordic nRF devices, and create reliable multilayer PCBs using Altium.
My work connects hardware and software through protocols like Modbus, CAN, SPI, I²C, UART, BLE, Wi-Fi, and MQTT. I develop systems that perform reliably in real-world industrial and aerospace environments. I also use FreeRTOS and Zephyr, create secure OTA updates, and build Python and web-based tools for testing and diagnostics.
At HITEC Sensor Developments, Inc., I lead embedded architecture for sensor and testing systems, helping improve product performance and automation. My experience also includes PLC/SCADA integration (Siemens S7, TIA Portal, WinCC) and backend development using .NET, SQL Server, and Cloudflare Workers.
I hold an M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Moratuwa and have published work on soft tactile sensor arrays (IEEE MERCon). Certified to IPC J-STD-001 with Space/Military standards, I focus on building high-quality, durable technology — from design and prototyping to deployment and long-term support.
