Embedded Systems Engineer | Industrial IoT & Real-Time Firmware Development
I’m an embedded systems engineer specializing in real-time firmware, industrial IoT, and sensor instrumentation. I design, implement, and deploy production-grade embedded solutions across STM32, ESP32, and Nordic nRF platforms, combining precise hardware design with robust C/C++ software.
My work bridges electronics and software — developing reliable, field-tested systems that communicate over Modbus, CAN, SPI, I²C, UART, BLE, Wi-Fi, and MQTT. I use FreeRTOS and Zephyr RTOS for deterministic control, implement secure OTA update mechanisms, and build Python and web-based diagnostic tools to support manufacturing and validation.
At HITEC Sensor Developments, Inc., I lead embedded architecture for advanced sensor and automation systems used in industrial and aerospace environments, improving reliability, data integrity, and process efficiency. My broader experience includes PLC/SCADA integration (Siemens S7, TIA Portal, WinCC) and Industrial IoT system design for remote monitoring, data acquisition, and analytics.
I hold an M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Moratuwa and am an IPC J-STD-001 Certified Specialist (Space/Military). My approach is grounded in engineering rigor — designing technology that performs flawlessly from prototype to production, and remains maintainable for the long term.
